Aquarium

One day we decided to pack up the kids and take them to the North Carolina Aquarium. It was a bright sunny day and it was a nice day to go. Haeleigh was so excited when we got there. There was a bunch of fish and sharks and other really cool sea creatures. Haeleigh had a blast and Kouper was enjoying looking at all of the really neat things. There was a manta ray tank where you could touch them as they were swimming by. Kalei and Haeleigh were touching them when one of them started to nibble on Kalei's hand and he got scared and jumped back splashing water all over them and me and Kouper. It was hilarious to watch Kalei get
scared like that. Then we had some ice cream and came home.

Whats going on

So I decided that I would start a blog just as a way to let loose and to update any family of what is going on in our lives. We are currently stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. That is in a small town called Havelock in North Carolina. Its a really small town, kinda like Waimea. Its okay, but I just feel so lost sometimes. We are so far away from family and friends and its not like we can just jump on a plane and go back to Hawaii.

We made some cool friends since we got here. Our neighbor Jinell has three kids and Haeleigh loves to go over and play with them. Its a really intresting area. I think Haeleigh is adjusting to the new area pretty fine actually. But she still doesn't understand that we live really far away from Hawaii. Everyday she is always asking to go to tutu's house or aunty lei's house. Or to go and she grandma and grandpa in hilo. I keep having to explain to her that we are in the mainland but even then she doesn't understand. I am thinking of opening up a in home day care so that way I can bring in some money and still stay at home with the kids. Kalei's job is way better then it was when he was a recruiter. He works normal hours and has the weekends off. I feel so much better that he is here to help out more. I guess that is the latest with us update you more as it happens
